“I started my home buying process with a well-known lender. After getting all documentation in, I was denied even with having my husband as a co-signer. I asked if they would try the loan again with my step dad being a co-signer and they wouldn't even do it; they said no. My agent got in touch with Brian Cook. She was confident he would be able to help, but I was skeptical after what happened with previous lender. We began the process again using my step dad as the main barrower and me as the co-signer. We came across a few issues regarding how my husband was cashing his payroll checks and depositing the cash in our checking account that was going to be used for our down payment. It took a few months to get it all straightened out, but Brian kept with us. The way the loan was being structured wasn't working so Brian had to come up with another way so that we could get approved.
